Basically with the same sound and fundamentals as the acoustic banjo, the electric banjo is an evolution that is a proof of improvement for the said instrument.

The body of electric banjos are usually still made up of the same materials  (ex. maple necks or rosewood fretboard), only that they come with more bells and whistles so you can play with more clarity and volume. You will be amazed with the different looks too.

Prevailing brands for electric banjos are the TranjoCaster, Crossfire, Gold Tone. Nonetheless, other brands are still competent depending on the user’s sound preference.
