7-String Guitar
Generally, guitarists have the 6-string guitar. But ever since time immemorial, mankind has been innovative enough to come up with improvements, all in the name of good music.
Even though the 7-string guitar is not as widespread as the 6-string, a lot of notable guitarists have used this for more than a century now.
Much of the influences of 7-string guitar are Russia and Brazil. The Russian 7-string guitar started in the beginning of the 19th century in Russia, and it’s tuned to the Open G tuning, (DGBDGbd). The Brazilian 7-string guitar is usually tuned like a classical guitar, but with an extra C below the low E (C-E-A-D-G-b-e).
